Frequently Asked Questions

Pilates

What is Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is an exercise program that uses a specially designed machine called a Pilates Reformer. Unlike other forms of exercise, the Pilates Reformer offers low-impact and resistance-based exercises, which makes it ideal for individuals of all ages and fitness levels.

The resistance-based exercises performed on the Reformer are all about helping strengthen and tone the muscles in the body, leading to improved overall fitness and body composition. In addition, the low-impact nature of the exercises is gentle on joints and reduces the risk of injury.

How often should I attend Pilates?

For maintaining a good level of fitness, flexibility, and core strength, attending 1-2 classes per week can be sufficient, along with a regular exercise routine that includes cardiovascular and strength training.

What should I wear to Pilates?

Fitted clothing, choose clothing that is form-fitting but not too tight. This allows your instructor to see and correct your alignment and ensures that your clothing won’t interfere with your movements.

Pilates socks, for your safety and comfort, we kindly ask all clients to wear grip socks with rubberised soles as these provide essential traction on our apparatus. We offer a selection of these socks available for purchase in the studio at affordable prices.

Hair accessories, if you have long hair, we recommend wearing a hair tie or headband to keep your hair out of your face.

What equipment do you use?

We incorporate a wide range of equipment, including the Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrel, Barre, and trigger point balls for Myo Facial release.
